CEBC : THE VOICE OF EUROPEAN BUILDING CONTROL

WHO WE ARE

CEBC collects, analyses, and compares information to establish best practice models while monitoring industry trends and gathering relevant experiences. By fostering a strong network, we facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among members.

Members are involved in building control or in the development of appropriate legislation and standards associated with health, safety, accessibility, energy conservation, and sustainability aspects of the built environment.

OUR APPROACH

We consistently gather data on building control systems, conducting analysis, evaluation, and comparisons to establish standardised models of best practices for building control. We closely monitor emerging trends in construction methods and materials, while also gathering pertinent experiences. Our findings are shared through the CEBC “Building Control Reports” to ensure widespread dissemination.

OUR STRATEGIC ACTIVITIES

Our ongoing activities encompass:

• Collecting and organising data on existing building control systems and delivery methods.
• Reviewing and updating our reports: “Building Control Systems in Europe” and “Value of
  Building Control.”
• Conducting an exercise to map the competencies needed for building control professionals
  across Europe, with an upcoming publication of a related report.
• Publishing an Annual Report that outlines our activities from the preceding 12 months.
• Monitoring the environment and staying abreast of emerging trends.
